One Southampton fan decided to ask his fellow supporters via his Twitter account on Tuesday whether they thought Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Lewis Dunk would be a decent signing for the club if the Seagulls are relegated, and the verdict was clear.
Just curious, if Brighton was to go down do we think Lewis Dunk would be a decent signing for us? #SaintsFC

Chris Hughton’s men remain bang in trouble following their 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the capital on Tuesday night, but Dunk couldn’t have done much more to help his team keep a valuable clean sheet.
The 27-year-old produced block after block and tackle after tackle at Spurs’ brilliant new stadium to keep them at bay for so long, before Christian Eriksen’s brilliant goal in the 88th minute won it for the hosts.
Following his impressive display at the back, Saints fans were asked whether they thought the Seagulls centre-back would be a good addition for their backline – another that has struggled this term.
Their answers were clear though, with many responding simply by saying “no”, while another said “I think we just need to look elsewhere”.
