In the heat of a promotion battle, it’s easy to get carried away. But when your team loses in the fashion Leeds did against Wigan on Good Friday there is always going to be someone who takes the brunt of the criticism.
And after losing 2-1 in a game which could prove severely damaging to the Whites’ promotion hopes, Ezgjan Alioski was the one who found himself at the centre of attention.
The Macedonian had a particularly poor afternoon down the left-hand side and as such was absolutely rinsed by Leeds fans on Twitter during and after the game.
One fan claimed that if Alioski started the first game of next season he’d donate his season ticket to charity. Another said it was the worst performance they’ve seen from any Leeds player.
His performance was so staggering to one individual that he bemoaned the player’s performance by saying he couldn’t believe what he was watching.
However, it now appears as though that’s the last Leeds fans want to see of him.
Here’s the best of the reaction.
Alioski should not play another game this season. He has cost us so many goals on both ends. Only 2 in defense that I can think of, but he’s so wasteful the other end. And what does he actually bring? Running round a lot? I’d prefer Pearce Oduor or Davis at left back.

If Alioski starts the first game of next season I’m going to donate my ST to charity. Worst player I’ve seen in 31 years as a season ticket holder #lufc

Alioski. Zero composure. Blasts it over. I can’t quite believe what I’m watching. #LUFC
